About Me

Welcome to my blog, and more specifically, my about me page! I'm pretty darn excited that you are here!

I'm Shanique, a 20-something scientist from Barbados, living in Indiana. When I'm not writing here, which is, sadly, more than I would like to admit, I'll probably be in the lab.

When I'm not doing either of those, I might be somewhere reading a book, singing or dancing (or perhaps trying to avoid cleaning my room...sigh). My idle-time claim-to-fame is having conquered more than 2400 levels of Candy Crush (feel free to judge me all you want).

But most of all, I love Jesus, and the word of God, which is really what drives me to write this blog, so that I can share what I love with all of you. If you want to hear more about my blog itself, head over to my "Why this blog?" page!

Three random bits of trivia
  1. My favorite book in the bible is actually a tie right now, between Nehemiah (rebuilding and restoring the wall of Jerusalem) and Hosea (God's unfailing and redeeming love)
  2. Because I come from a former British colony, but went to college in the US, my spelling/grammar on the blog fluctuates between British and US English.
  3. On my reading list currently is Spirit of the Disciplines by Dallas Willard and The Life You've Always Wanted by John Ortberg.

My favourite verse right now. (It changes pretty often.)

  1. Hi Shanique,
Nice to be here and to know little more about you,
    Good, Keep going
