Welcome to my blog, and more specifically, my about me page! I'm pretty darn excited that you are here!
I'm Shanique, a 20-something scientist from Barbados, living in Indiana. When I'm not writing here, which is, sadly, more than I would like to admit, I'll probably be in the lab.
When I'm not doing either of those, I might be somewhere reading a book, singing or dancing (or perhaps trying to avoid cleaning my room...sigh). My idle-time claim-to-fame is having conquered more than 1400 levels of Candy Crush (feel free to judge me all you want).
But most of all, I love Jesus, and the word of God, which is really what drives me to write this blog, so that I can share what I love with all of you. If you want to hear more about my blog itself, head over to my "Why this blog?" page!
Three random bits of trivia
- My favorite book in the bible is actually a tie right now, between Nehemiah (rebuilding and restoring the wall of Jerusalem) and Hosea (God's unfailing and redeeming love)
- Because I come from a former British colony, but went to college in the US, my spelling/grammar on the blog fluctuates between British and US English.
- On my reading list currently is Spirit of the Disciplines by Dallas Willard and The Life You've Always Wanted by John Ortberg.
My favourite verse right now. (It changes pretty often.)
